The media has fed us a lot of BS regarding tummy fat. Here are a couple of ab stories given by the media to us. You decide which are true ways of losing that unsightly midsection bulge and which are lies.

Ab Stories 1:

To lose weight you have to eat this pre-packaged health food item that will count your calories for you. It may cost twice as much as a regular meal can but it tastes good and at the same time, it will make you have that body you have always wanted.

Ab Stories 2:

To lose that ugly flab around your midsection, your best bet would be to do crunches, leg raises and sit ups. These are the best ways to target that problem area of yours.

Ab Stories 3:

To get your blood pumping, you can also do some cardio workouts that will trigger the loss of weight. Whatever cardio work out it may be, so long as it raises your heart rate to a faster level, that will do you fine and help you lose abs fat.

Ab Stories 4:

To boost the effects of crunches, you need to take some miracle pill to wonder drug to burn that fat away. They are good because they also contain vitamins.

Ab Stories 5:

X diet that is low in X is very good for you! You will see results in a matter of two weeks if you do this diet.

Ab Stories 6:

If you really want to see results fast and to further supplement your diet X diet, then buy this amazing and deluxe Y abs machine that will target that fat and eliminate it right off the bat. Use it for only 5 minutes a day and you will see results in a matter of days.

So which of the 6 items listed above is the BEST way in eliminating tummy fat? Is it item one? Wrong! Most health foods are junk foods at best, merely there to give you energy but they do not have the proper elements to help you burn fat. Is it item two? Wrong! Area specific exercises, while good in themselves, are the least effective in burning fat. Is it item 3? Cardio in itself is also good but you should know the proper way of doing it. Also, your hear rate should not go too high as you will end up burning muscle instead of fat if it goes up too high. Is it item 4? Fat burning pills are a waste of money. Item 5? This is most likely a fad diet that works for a few weeks, then leaves you feeling energy-less after. 6? Do not believe that the model in that infomercial got his perfectly muscular body with that small abs machine.

So does that mean all the items below are all hoaxes? In essence, yes. Although there are some effective health pills that will help you lose a few pounds off, they are not that healthy as they strip you off of nutrients.
