I do not know many people that could not stand to lose a little weight. It seems like once you hit a certain age or go through some stressful times (like college) it can be ridiculously easy to add on a few extra pounds. Once you get the weight it is not exciting to think about how to get rid of it. One of the last things anyone wants to do is eat some bland frozen diet dinner or something along those lines. In addition those diet dinners cost more. More money for bland food. That is not exactly my idea of a good time. Fortunately there are a few things you can do to lose weight without diet food.

For starters you can just adjust your portion size. This sounds easy but do not let the simplicity fool you. We tend to go through life not paying attention to the small things like portion sizes of the things we are eating but once you start watching you will see how much weight loss can come from this simple trick. One way to do this without going crazy weighing your food or going blind reading labels and counting calories is to just eat half of what you would normally eat. This works especially well when eating out. If you eat out a lot for work functions or just for the convenience factor, you can lose a lot of weight by cutting your portions in half. An added benefit will be saved money since you can always eat the other half for another meal later in the day.

Another way to cut the pounds without having to resort to a slim fixer 2000 shake for every meal is to just try and eat more natural foods instead of processed junk. A good rule of thumb is to make sure you eat only foods that look like they could be growing on a plant or that cam from an animal. For example fruits obviously grow on a tree so they are considered natural food. You do not see snickers bars growing on a plant anywhere now do you? Although a snickers plant would be pretty cool the lack of one pretty much makes it a no brainer that those candy bars are processed food. Cut the processed food and you can shed fat very quickly.

Finally one of the best ways to lose weight without diet food is to just add in some exercise. This is obviously not the most healthy choice but if you just want to shed a few pounds you can get some great results by just adding in a daily cardio exercise like jogging or a hard bike ride and keep eating what you normally eat. Now you have to keep in mind that since you are not going full out and changing your diet you can not get by with a weak exercise like a little walking around your building at work. In order to have the luxury of eating the same you really have to put in the work at the exercise of your choice.
