Do you feel tired all the time? Laziness got the best of you, well there is allot of factors that help our bodies get the energy that it needs. If your body isn't getting what it needs than more than likely its not going to do what you need it to do. Our bodies can make energy from what we eat, but not all foods are treated the same way by the body and their energy values are different as well. After digestion the break down of foods flow through the body. Body calls take what they need from the foods and direct it to all different kinds of enzymes. These enzymes process each remnant into usable nutrients that is changed into energy.
There all different kinds of ways that your can give your body the energy it needs. Here are some things you can do to boost your energy when you feel tired or want to prevent getting tired. Some of the basic things you can do is simply turn on the lights, your body should respond naturally to the changes in light. Get more sleep at night, 7 to 8 a night is a pretty reasonable amount. Exercise, it can wake you up and give you an energy boost that should last all day. How long has it been since you got a physical? There a lot of illnesses out there that can cause energy levels to lower. Stress, depression, and other negative emotions can drain the energy right out of you.
Try not to lay in bed longer than needed. It doesn't do you any good to hit the snooze button in the morning. And wake up gradually, for a lot of people the phase in between sleeping and the buzzing of the alarm can cause a drowsy and negative feelings through the day.
Try something different and new, most people get into a daily routine and tend to lean toward everything the same. This can get boring and tiring in its self. Try new things, buy a shirt that isn't something in your norm, eat out instead of packing a lunch, take up a new hobby, seek out new experiences in general it keeps the day alive and keeps you feel alert.
Some other things to try are do a crossword puzzle. Take a walk, get out o the house, get some fresh air, the oxygen should wake up your mind. The sunlight to will help wake up the mind. Take a shower, everyone feel refreshed after taking a shower. Aromatherapy is another good way, smells like citrus, ginger, and peppermint can have an uplifting effect on the body.
Call a friend, interacting with people you like to be around can get you excited, especially if they have good news and things are going well. Playing with your pet can be fun and it can make you fell happier. When we are happier we are more energetic. Take the dog for a walk, tease the cat with a string and feather.
Sitting at a desk all day work isn't doing you any good either, this isn't something that can be prevented most of the time, everyone needs to work, but there are a few things you can do to stay alert and awake at your desk. Laugh with a coworker, it will make you feel better mentally. Listen to your favorite songs this will make you want to get up and dance, but don't if it will jeopardize your job. Have good posture; slouching will just make you feel lazy. Have a mint, that aromatherapy thing works on your taste buds too. And lastly, open the blinds a little wider in the office let the light in.
A healthy diet is a very important part of your energy levels. eat smaller more frequent meals, ever feel so full that you just want to sleep well avoid that feeling. An apple a day, eating fruit is a quick healthy fix. Make sure you are hydrated enough, drink lots of water. Whole grain foods take longer for the body to break down so this will give you a steady energy level all day. Avoid too much sugar, it will give you a quick energy fix but the crash after your glucose levels lower again is worse than before you ate the sugar.
Don't skip breakfast either, so many people don't eat breakfast and it's the most important meal of the day for a reason. It will fuel you up for the rest of the day. Alkaline forming foods will help too. Foods that are alkaline are thought to be energizing like fruits and veggies. Get lots of protein, not getting enough protein can make you feel wiped out so snack on some mixed nuts or some whole grain toast with peanut butter. Yum.
Taking your vitamins can help you function properly and stay energetic. Herbal teas are great too. Chamomile, valerian root, pepper mint, and ginseng are all great in teas and will relax you and rid stress to make you feel revitalized and fresh. Drinking herbal teas can not only help boost your mood and your energy levels it can also help you lose weight.
